SRIVARI SEVAKS OFFER IMPECCABLE SERVICES TO THE DEVOTEES

The Srivari Seva volunteers who hailed from different states for offering services to pilgrims during annual brahmotsavams, rendered impeccable services from 5am till completion of Garuda Vahana Seva on Tuesday at Tirumala.

A total of around 1500 Srivari Sevaks have been drafted exclusively for serving Annaprasadam and milk, distributing water to the devotees waiting in all the 183 galleries of the four mada streets encircling the Tirumala temple.

Among the sevaks, around 650 for Annaprasadam, 550 for Health and 300 for Security were allotted. The Sevaks served milk, upma, pongal, sambar rice and many other delicacies at regular intervals to the devotees in each gallery. While the sevaks distributed water to the devotees upon the instructions of the health department. Over 300 odd sevaks have been deployed to TTD Vigilance and Security wing to guard the procession of Vahana Seva.

Besides drafting two TTD employees to supervise each mada street, around 50 senior sevaks have also been deployed to monitor the issues being faced by the pilgrims in each gallery.

The devotees also expressed immense pleasure with the services of Srivari Sevaks who offered continuous services to the pilgrims in the galleries of the four mada streets for nearly 20hours with dedication, devotion and discipline.

The fifth morning witnessed an array of unique folk artforms from the artists of Northern belt which amazed the devotees. Among them, Punjab’s Kikli, Tripura’s Hojagiri, Gujarat’s Garbha stood unique during the Vahana Seva.

A total of 490 artists belonging to 14 states have performed in front of Mohini Avataram on Tuesday.

MOHINI CASTS MAGICAL SPELL ON DEVOTEES

On the fifth day of Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavam of Sri Venkateswara Swamy, Sri Malayappa appeared in the form of Universal Celestial Beauty Mohini to charm His devotees on Tuesday.

As per legend, the appearance as bejewelled and charming Mohini throws the demons (Asura’s) in confusion and wins the celestial battle in favour of the Devatas. The objective of the Mohini avatar also indicates that the entire universe is spell bound under the Mystic Mohini and that the Hill God is the kingpin and key architect of this high drama in the universe.

Festooned in colourful silk robes, wearing dazzling jewels and seated in style atop the finely decorated palanquin and accompanied by Sri Krishna Swamy on another Tiruchi, Mohini conquers the four mada streets by casting “His” magical spell on the tens of thousands of devotees.

The devout say that by appearing as Mohini during the Srivari Brahmotsavam Sri Venkateswara sends a message that the entire universe was a creation of His Maya. To overcome this Maya everyone should worship Him.

Both the Tirumala Pontiffs, TTD EO Sri J Syamala Rao, Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, JEOs Smt Goutami, Sri Veerabrahmam, CVSO Sri Sridhar and other important officials, dignitaries were also present.
