Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple Pavitrotsavam Ankurarpanam

Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple Pavitrotsavam 2025 at Srinivasa Mangapuram

The annual Pavitrotsavam festival at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple, located in Srinivasa Mangapuram, will be celebrated from October 17 to 19, 2025, with great devotion and traditional grandeur. This sacred ritual is organized by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) every year to purify and renew the spiritual energy of the temple.

Significance of Pavitrotsavam

The Pavitrotsavam is one of the most important purification rituals performed in Hindu temples. According to the Agama Shastras, even celestial beings find it challenging to conduct rituals with complete perfection.

As human beings, there might be unintentional mistakes or omissions during daily or annual pujas — such as errors in chanting mantras or performing rituals. To remove these impurities, Pavitrotsavam is observed once every year.

This festival:

  • Cleanses all ritual mistakes or doshas
  • Purifies the temple environment
  • Grants the benefits of Yajnas and other sacred deeds
  • Brings peace, prosperity, and divine blessings to devotees

Hence, Pavitrotsavam is considered a powerful purificatory festival that renews devotion and sanctity in the temple.
