Malibu Venkateswara Swamy Hindu Temple Built in 1981. The Malibu Sri Lord Balaji Hindu Temple, located in California. The temple is ‘modeled after the Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati an ancient sanctuary of such significance that some call it the Hindu Vatican.

Malibu Lord Balaji Hindu Temple

TTD Lord balaji Temple is located in the city of Calabasas near Malibu, California, in the Santa Monica Mountains. It is owned and operated by the Hindu Temple Society of Southern California. The temple was built in 1981 for the god Venkateswara, with shrines for various deities scattered throughout the property along with ample space for quiet reflection and meditation.

It is one of the largest Hindu temples in the Western hemisphere.The priests are situated and live on the grounds of the temple. The temple has many gatherings for ceremonies and provides numerous spaces for meditation and picnicking. It has a full stage for special cultural and Hindu programs.

Lord Balaji California temples has many gathering by local hindu families for ceremonies, wedding programs, first birthday and provides numerous space for meditations. Malibu hindu temple has two complexes, Upper complex with lord venkateswara as the presiding deity and the lower complex with lord shiv as the presiding deity. In addition to the presiding deity, both compounds have shrines for other deities.

Architecture:

To replicate the original, the Malibu structure’s sculpted towers were built by artisans from India as sort of stone storybooks with deities and scenes revealing the history of Hinduism.

Malibu Hindu Temple Timings

On Normal days temple was open to visitors from morning 7:30 am. On weekdays, the temple is open to visitors between 9 am and 12:30 pm, and also, between 5 and 8 pm (though in the winter, the temple closes to the public at 7 pm); on the weekend, visiting hours are between 8 am and 7 pm. The Temple will continue to offer outdoor services only on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 5 PM. It will remain closed to the public during the weekdays from Monday to Friday

Donate to the Malibu Hindu Temple, The Hindu Temple Society of Southern California wishes to use the donations for purposes of maintaining the payroll and maintenance costs of the Temple. The Temple reserves the right to use the donations for other purposes that are beneficial to the Temple.
