Spiritual Significance of Garuda Seva
According to Vaishnava tradition and Puranic scriptures, the Garuda Seva holds immense importance among the 108 Vaishnava Divya Desams. Garuda, the divine eagle, is regarded as the eternal devotee and vehicle of Lord Vishnu. During the Garuda Seva, the Lord conveys a profound message — that He is the servant of His devotees, also known as “Daasanudaasa” (the servant of servants).
It is also believed that those who witness the Garuda Vahanam Darshan with pure devotion are blessed with spiritual knowledge (Jnana) and detachment (Vairagya). Seeing Garuda, who embodies wisdom and strength, is said to remove all sins and purify one’s mind and soul.
Devotion and Faith on Karthika Pournami
The month of Karthika is considered highly sacred in Hinduism. The full moon day (Pournami) in this month holds special spiritual power. Performing Garuda Seva on this day is believed to grant devotees divine blessings, prosperity, and liberation from worldly troubles. The dazzling lights, devotional chants, and spiritual energy in Tirumala made the occasion truly divine and memorable.
