Free weddings are performed at this temple for the benefit of indigent Adi Dravidars, Adivasis and backward classes. Under this scheme the couple undergoing free weddings are gifted new clothes.

Special Entry for Physically Challenged

Wheel chair and Battery car services are provided for senior citizens and disabled persons, inside the temple premises at free of cost. Persons who are physically / mentally challenged, aged or terminally ill and who are unable to walk, will be allowed for Amman and Swami Darshan through special entrance upto Sanctum. Vasantha Mandapam
This mandapam was built by Thirumalai Nayakkar. Vasanthosavam – the Spring festival-is celebrated in this mandapam in Vaikasi (April/May). Its pillars contain elaborate sculptures of Shiva, Meenakshi, scenes from their wedding as well as the figures of ten of the Nayak Kings and their consorts. This is also called Pudhu Mandapam.
