Hindu Temples in Texas. DFW Hindu temple Society. D/FW Hindu temple is to provide a place of worship and be the Spiritual Resource Center for the Hindu Community living in the metropolitan areas of Dallas/Fort Worth and the surrounding areas.

DFW temple was conceived in 1981, as an auspicious begging starts day with Sri Satyanarayana puja for the formation of DFW Dallas Hindu temple. in 1984, eight acres of land in the parker county were purchased for temple building. but due to some reason progress was slow for financial issues, lacks of funds delayed temple construction.

After conducting research, the temple committee noticed, parker country land was too far from hindu community place. then committe decided to sell in land in the parker country and at the same time, purchasing the land in IRVING in 1988. after that work progessive in rapid speed, The Bhoomi puja was performed on same year, in time of 3 years span new temple was inaugurated.

On April 28,1991 the new IRVING Hindu temple in dallas, Ekta mandir was inaugurated sucessfully. committe decided to first deity to be installed in ekka mandir was that of Maha lakshmi. on inauguration day large number of devotees gathered and celebrating very grand manner Prana ratishthapan mahotsav ceremony. ubsequently, Sri Ganesh, Sri Ram Parivar, Sri Durgaji, Sri Ayyappan, Sri Venkateshwara (Balaji), Shivji, Kartikeya and Vithal-Rakumai installed. separate building adjacent to the main temple was built and Navagrahas, Jagannathaji, Anjaneya (Hanumanji), Gayatri Devi and Dattatreya deities were installed.
