The Jalabapa Jholi and Danda hold immense spiritual significance in the temple. According to sacred history, God appeared in the form of a saint and asked Shri Jalaram Bapa for alms. In an extraordinary test of devotion, the saint requested Virbai Maa (Jalaram Bapa’s wife) herself.
With complete surrender and faith, Jalaram Bapa offered Virbai to the saint. Pleased with this ultimate devotion, the saint blessed Virbai with the sacred “Jholi” (bag) and “Danda” (staff), which are still preserved and worshipped at the Virpur temple today.
